Good news has been reported from Taipower's key power construction for the Kaohsiung Nanzih Park. The Kaohsiung to Xiongji Three and Four Transmission Line Project was officially completed and started power transmission yesterday. This project, in response to the development of the semiconductor industry in the Southern Science Park, Kaohsiung Third Park, also known as the Nanzih Park, was completed more than two years ahead of the scheduled completion date. This project has increased the park's power supply capacity from the original 400 MW to over 1,000 MW, directly doubling the power supply, not only strengthening the overall power supply stability in the Kaohsiung area, but also injecting strong power energy into the Southern Semiconductor Corridor.

Taipower stated that the Kaohsiung to Xiongji Three and Four Transmission Line Project started construction in May last year, with a total line length of approximately 9.6 kilometers, and the construction scope spans the Sanmin, Cijin, and Zuoying districts of Kaohsiung City. In response to the urgent industrial development schedule, Taipower adopted measures such as increasing the number of shifts, appropriately extending working hours, and safely carrying out parallel construction, reducing the originally planned 42-month construction period to 15 months, successfully completing the project more than two years ahead of schedule, demonstrating high-efficiency project execution, and at the same time minimizing the impact on local traffic during the construction period.

Taipower pointed out that this new transmission line is compatible with both the initial 161 kV and the subsequent upgrade to 345 kV power needs of the park. Yesterday, when the power transmission was officially started, Taipower Chairman Tseng Wensheng and General Manager Guo Tianhe led the frontline colleagues to jointly witness the launch of the key power construction in Kaohsiung.

Taipower especially thanked the Kaohsiung City Government and the representatives for their full cooperation, as well as the understanding and cooperation of the citizens of Kaohsiung during the construction period. Through the cooperation between the central and local governments, the local power resilience is continuously strengthened, and the development of Taiwan's semiconductor industry is continuously supported.
