Former U.S. President Donald Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social on Monday (the 3rd), sharply criticizing Iran's leadership as 'incredibly two-faced,' stating that while Iran has requested—and some might say 'begged'—for meetings with the United States, and negotiations have already begun with further talks scheduled soon, Iran publicly denies any contact, insisting it only communicates through Oman.
Trump also rejected Iran's claims of asserting strong control over the Strait of Hormuz. He asserted that this critical global energy shipping route is now fully under the control of the U.S. Navy and an American 'blockade line,' which some describe as a 'steel wall of America.'
Trump stated that no supplies can reach Iran without U.S. permission, and nothing will pass through until either an agreement is reached or Iran 'completely surrenders.'
He emphasized that regardless of whether Iran admits it or not, the U.S. and Iran are indeed in contact to resolve issues, placing the blame for long-standing disputes entirely on Tehran. Trump reiterated that the U.S. position is very clear: 'Iran will never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon.'
