Wiwynn (6669-TW) continues to benefit from increasing demand for general-purpose servers, coupled with strong momentum in AI servers and upward revisions in capital expenditures by CSP customers. A U.S.-based foreign investment firm expects Wiwynn’s third-quarter revenue to grow 28% quarter-on-quarter and has raised its target price to 10,000 TWD. This optimism propelled Wiwynn’s stock price above 6,000 TWD today (September 4), peaking at 6,385 TWD, setting a new all-time high.
Wiwynn opened at 5,935 TWD this morning. Although it briefly turned negative and dipped to 5,800 TWD during trading, it quickly rebounded and surged to a high of 6,385 TWD—rising more than half a stop-limit. As of 11:00 AM, the stock was trading at 6,185 TWD, up over 4%, ranking fifth among Taiwan’s high-priced stocks (‘thousand-dollar shares’). Trading volume exceeded 4,000 lots.
Outlook for Wiwynn’s server business remains positive. On the AI server front, a major U.S. CSP customer has been consistently ordering ASIC-based products since Q2, ensuring stable shipments. Meanwhile, demand for general-purpose servers is also heating up, driven by agent-style AI applications, supporting strong operational performance in the second half of the year.
Wiwynn reported second-quarter revenue of 278.153 billion TWD, up 0.6% sequentially and 26% year-over-year. Cumulative revenue for the first half of 2024 reached 554.66 billion TWD, a 42% year-over-year increase. Wiwynn will announce its Q2 financial results this Friday (September 7) and provide updated business outlook.
