Industrial computer manufacturer Advantech (6166-TW) announced today (6th) its July revenue reached NT$1.427 billion, a record high for the same period, representing a 38% year-on-year increase. Cumulative revenue for the first seven months reached NT$9.33 billion, up 41% annually. Looking ahead, Advantech stated it will continue focusing on edge AI development trends and high-value vertical applications, progressing steadily according to project schedules.
Advantech explained that the revenue growth over the first seven months did not stem from a single product line, but rather from the combined effect of recovering global market demand and the ongoing development of edge AI applications. Shipments of display computing, modular computers, and intelligent automation products grew simultaneously, reflecting customers’ rising demand for high-performance computing platforms deployable at the edge.
From a market application perspective, the Asia-Pacific region continues to benefit from demand related to semiconductor equipment and supply chains. As the semiconductor industry advances smart manufacturing and automation upgrades, Advantech will leverage edge computing and intelligent automation solutions to help customers enhance equipment intelligence and operational efficiency, capturing subsequent market opportunities.
Advantech stated it will center its efforts on embedded and edge AI computing capabilities, deepening its presence in key application areas such as healthcare, semiconductor automation, robotics, and new energy, advancing business development steadily based on market demand and customer project progress.
In the robotics field, Advantech continues investing in robot control platforms and related technology development, with multiple projects currently underway covering various types of robot applications.
