Kuo Piao Financial Holding (2889-TW) announced today (7th) its self-reported after-tax net profit for July 2026 amounted to NT$189.23 million, with cumulative net profit for the first seven months reaching NT$2.97222 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 204.82%. Earnings per share (EPS) after tax stood at NT$0.82, and net asset value per share reached NT$12.84 as of the end of July. The core subsidiary, Kuo Piao Securities, saw its cumulative profit for the first seven months grow nearly fourfold year-on-year, emerging as the strongest profit contributor within the financial holding group. Meanwhile, International Bills & Exchange Corporation also delivered strong performance, with cumulative profits increasing over 60% year-on-year.
Kuo Piao Financial stated that its bills and exchange subsidiary reported an after-tax net profit of NT$186.24 million in July, with cumulative profits from January to July reaching NT$1.74542 billion, up 65.47% compared to the same period last year. The three core businesses—bills, bonds, and equities—all demonstrated steady growth. Bond business profits surged significantly year-on-year, primarily due to foreign currency bond holdings turning from negative to positive yield, combined with gains from bond trading activities. Equity business profits also rose notably, driven by strong performance in AI and electronics sector stocks, along with the recognition of dividend income from certain stock investments in July.
The securities subsidiary reported an after-tax net profit of NT$246.02 million in July, with cumulative profits from January to July reaching NT$2.28943 billion, a year-on-year increase of 390.94%, setting a new historical high in profitability. This growth was fueled by the Taiwan stock market's average daily trading volume reaching NT$1.2 trillion in the first seven months of the year, boosting commission income from brokerage operations and interest income from margin lending and unsecured loans. Additionally, well-executed proprietary trading in futures derivatives, equities, and warrants significantly increased overall investment gains, serving as a key driver of profit growth.
The venture capital subsidiary achieved strong performance in securities valuation gains, disposal profits, and dividend income, with core business cumulative profits reaching NT$168.4 million by the end of July 2026, a year-on-year increase of nearly 925%. However, due to continued provisioning for credit loss reserves from its equity-method investment in Guowang Leasing in mainland China amid local economic downturn, the venture capital subsidiary's overall results turned from profit to loss, reporting an after-tax loss of NT$31.61 million for the first seven months of the year.
