Fang Min-Zong, Group President of Strong Chip (2481-TW), attended the '2026 Taishin & SK Life Net Zero Summit' today (7th) and delivered a keynote speech titled 'New Strategy: The Next Competitive Equation of Industrial Rice.' He highlighted that power semiconductors are critical foundational components supporting the low-carbon transition, AI computing power, automotive electronics, and enhanced energy efficiency. In an era focused on sustainability, corporate competitiveness no longer stems solely from individual product specifications, but from the integrated capabilities of technology, quality, supply chain resilience, and global deployment.

Founded 40 years ago in Gangshan, Kaohsiung, Strong Chip has long been dedicated to the power semiconductor industry, progressing from basic component manufacturing to becoming a key player on the global power semiconductor stage. Power semiconductors are akin to 'industrial rice'—though not the most visible consumer brand, they are indispensable components in electronic systems. From AI data centers and electric vehicles to industrial equipment and energy applications, stable and highly efficient power conversion relies on these components.

Fang emphasized that Strong Chip stands on the foundation of being 'industrial rice' and further evolves into the efficiency-driven heart of the energy transition era. Sustainability is not merely a corporate responsibility but a core business capability that drives product upgrades, customer trust, and long-term growth. Through its high-efficiency power semiconductor technology, Strong Chip supports AI ecosystems, automotive electronics, industrial, and energy applications, helping customers create end products that are more energy-efficient, reliable, and low-carbon.

During his speech, Fang introduced Strong Chip’s three-dimensional E-S-G strategic framework, focusing on Energy and Green Products, Product Safety and Supply Chain Resilience, and Geopolitical Strategy with Global Deployment. The company also adopts the ACE application strategy to target high-value markets, covering Artificial Intelligence (AI), Communications, Electric Vehicles, and Automotive. Its technological foundations include third-generation SiC semiconductors, the SGT MOS platform, and advanced power semiconductor technologies, with future development extending toward system-level solutions.

In terms of global deployment, Strong Chip operates as an IDM with three wafer fabrication plants and five global packaging facilities, serving over 50 countries. Shipments are projected to reach 260 billion units in 2025. With Taiwan as its R&D core, the company has established production lines in the Philippines and Vietnam, enhancing regional manufacturing and localized customer service capabilities. This responds to customer demands for supply flexibility, delivery discipline, and risk diversification amid global supply chain restructuring.

Fang concluded by emphasizing that Strong Chip will continue evolving from a component supplier into a system-application-oriented solution partner. Through power semiconductor technology, sustainable governance, quality management, and supply chain collaboration, the company aims to build long-term trust and competitiveness among international clients. Upholding the spirit of 'Power the Future,' Strong Chip expresses gratitude for the past, commits to co-creating a better future, and works alongside global partners to build a more beautiful planet.
