Connector manufacturer Hung Chieh (3605-TW) saw its second-quarter net profit grow nearly 100% compared to both the previous quarter and the same period last year, while July revenue reached a new monthly high. This week, investor buying surged ahead, pushing the stock price up to a peak of NT$113—the highest level in 16 years—with a weekly gain of 36%.

Hung Chieh posted second-quarter revenue of NT$3.35 billion, up 20% year-on-year. Operating profit reached NT$246 million, up 26% annually, while net profit after tax amounted to NT$201 million, surging 98% year-on-year. Earnings per share (EPS) stood at NT$1.22 for the quarter, bringing the first-half EPS to NT$1.89.

In July 2023, the company recorded revenue of NT$1.154 billion, setting a new single-month record—up 3% month-on-month and 30% year-on-year. Cumulative revenue for the first seven months reached NT$7.326 billion, an increase of 17% compared to the same period last year. The company stated that robust demand for AI servers has significantly boosted shipments of related products, driving overall operational performance.

Looking ahead to the second half, Hung Chieh noted that as customers' new platforms enter mass production, procurement momentum is fully accelerating. The revenue contribution from high-speed, high-power products will continue to expand, with clear order visibility, supporting a trend of strong sequential growth across the business.
