Epicom (7711-TW), a major server manufacturer under ASRock (3515-TW), benefited from robust shipments of high-margin ASIC and general-purpose servers, achieving a record-breaking Q2 net profit per share of NT$9.76. This strong performance fueled aggressive share price momentum this week, closing Friday up NT$13.5 at NT$375.0, a cumulative gain of 35.14% over the past six trading days and a weekly surge of 28.21%.
Epicom’s Q2 financials were impressive: quarterly post-tax net profit reached NT$685 million, up 26.9% quarter-on-quarter and 234% year-on-year. Gross margin significantly expanded to 18.94%, a 6.55 percentage point increase from the previous quarter. Consolidated revenue for the first half totaled NT$15.712 billion, up 44.5% year-on-year, with post-tax net profit reaching NT$1.224 billion and earnings per share (EPS) at NT$17.44—exceeding one full share’s worth of profit in just the first half and surpassing annual profit records from all prior years.
On product developments, high-margin ASIC project front-end motherboards began volume ramp-up from Q2. General-purpose servers also performed strongly, benefiting from robust artificial intelligence inference demand, with notable customer pull-in of NVIDIA RTX Pro series models, significantly optimizing overall profitability. Although some Q2 component deliveries arrived late, causing order deferrals, underlying demand remains clearly evident.
Looking ahead to the second half and industry momentum, Epicom maintains its 4:6 revenue split between first and second halves. The second-half lineup will focus on NVIDIA’s B300 and GB300 platforms, while continuing to deliver new B200 orders for Japanese data center clients. The next-generation Vera platform is expected to contribute starting next year, with server order visibility secured through the first half of next year.
In terms of market expansion, existing general-purpose server customers have begun broader adoption of AI servers this year, expanding Epicom’s client base into Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, and the U.S. As the proportion of high-margin products increases and supply chain integration improves, shipment volumes in the second half will significantly scale up, driving sequential quarterly operational growth. Full-year performance and profitability are expected to exceed targets.
