Everlight Electronics (2393-TW) announced today (10th) the official groundbreaking ceremony for its new manufacturing base located in Chachoengsao Province, Thailand. This marks a key milestone in Everlight’s efforts to deepen its global supply chain footprint, respond to customer 'China+1' strategies, and expand manufacturing capacity in Southeast Asia. Construction of the facility commenced in August this year and is scheduled for completion and mass production by the second half of 2027.
Everlight stated that amid accelerating trends toward regionalized, nearshore, and offshore supply chains, the new Thailand plant will become the group’s largest and most advanced production base in Southeast Asia, with an overall scale expected to surpass its existing Suzhou facility in China. The factory will implement highly automated and intelligent production lines to maximize operational efficiency and product quality consistency.
The company highlighted clear growth drivers, with revenue from optocoupler products projected to exceed 40%, while automotive product revenue continues to steadily increase. Once operational, the Thailand plant will directly support global automakers (OEMs), Tier 1 suppliers, and industrial control/AI server customers with a more flexible production chain featuring local backup capabilities.
Everlight emphasized that the groundbreaking of the Thailand facility is a foundational step in its next decade of global strategy. It will not only enhance global supply competitiveness but also solidify Everlight’s leading position in the global optoelectronic semiconductor sector through optimized cost structures and advanced packaging technologies.
