After U.S. semiconductor stocks rose more than 2% again last Friday, Taiwan's stock market surged today (10th), led by major electronics stocks. The index opened higher and continued to climb, reaching a peak of 45,127 points—an increase of over 900 points—breaking through the 45,000 level and reclaiming the 20-day moving average. Today's trading volume is expected to reach approximately TWD 1 trillion, significantly higher than last Friday's.

Major weighted stocks rose broadly today. TSMC (2330-TW) (TSM-US) broke through the psychological barrier of TWD 2,400, reclaiming its 5-day, monthly, and 20-day moving averages, with its market capitalization rebounding to TWD 62 trillion. Delta Electronics (2308-TW) hit the daily trading limit, closing temporarily at TWD 1,815, approaching its 20-day moving average.

MediaTek (2454-TW), Hon Hai (2317-TW), ASE Holding (3711-TW), TPK Holding (2383-TW), Unimicron (3037-TW), United Microelectronics Corporation (2303-TW) (UMC-US), and Accton Technology (2345-TW) all posted gains between 1% and 9%, supporting the broader market rally.

Market focus centered on the 'panel twin tigers.' Reports suggest TSMC will acquire AU Optronics' (2409-TW) L7 (7.5th generation) and L5C (5th generation) fabs at Central Taiwan Science Park, adopting a 'Innolux model' to develop advanced packaging technology. This news fueled a sharp rally in the panel sector, with AU Optronics and Innolux (3481-TW) both hitting the daily trading limit. Buy orders at the upper limit stood at 100,000 lots and 50,000 lots respectively, indicating strong bullish momentum.

Additionally, the optical communications sector shone again today. Shares including Sampo (3363-TW), United Monolithic Semiconductors (3450-TW), Opto-Link (3234-TW), and Universe (4991-TW) all surged to the daily limit. Other stocks such as Win Semiconductors (3105-TW), Fan Chuan (6830-TW), and Hwa Create (4979-TW) also gained over 7%.
