Second-quarter net profit was NT$138 million, up 60.16% quarter-on-quarter and 100% year-on-year, with EPS reaching NT$1.48.
For the first half of 2026, revenue totaled NT$1.754 billion, up 16.8% year-on-year and achieving a record high for the period. Gross margin was 36.72%, down 4.34 percentage points from the same period last year. Tairyo’s exceptional performance this year has been primarily driven by surging demand from the North American trading card market. The premium collectibles and trading card market in North America is experiencing a boom, with strong end-consumer demand for sports player cards. Additionally, Pokémon trading cards have triggered a global pre-order and purchasing frenzy due to major new product launches in July and limited-edition 30th-anniversary merchandise, prompting printing manufacturers to expand production aggressively. This dual engine of demand has enabled Tairyo, leveraging its three core technologies—proprietary chemical formulations, vacuum deposition, and precision coating—to experience an explosion in orders for its cold foil product line and high-value 'laser cold foil,' significantly boosting its penetration rate in the North American market.
Stable contributions from Europe and global overseas expansion are also supporting growth. The company’s dual-track strategy focusing on both Western markets and the Asia-Pacific region is progressing steadily. Its Polish subsidiary is gradually contributing to operations, and through deepening partnerships with major international brand customers, the proportion of direct clients is increasing, driving steady revenue growth in Europe. Furthermore, construction of the new factory in Vietnam—the ASEAN core—is advancing as scheduled and is expected to commence mass production in the second quarter of 2027, greatly strengthening the company’s global localized supply chain capabilities.
Additionally, effective responses to raw material volatility and optimization of product mix have proven successful. Facing external challenges such as geopolitical tensions, volatile oil prices, and rising raw material costs, Tairyo has benefited from diminishing impacts of U.S. tariffs and has flexibly implemented dynamic pricing and individualized sales strategy controls. By continuously increasing the revenue share of high-margin products such as laser cold foil—used in consumer industrial applications—the company has successfully optimized its overall product portfolio, solidifying its long-term profitability foundation.
