SinoPac Financial Holdings (2890-TW) announced its self-compiled earnings for July 2026 today (10th). The group recorded a monthly after-tax net profit of NT$4.381 billion, up 3% month-on-month. Cumulative after-tax net profit for the first seven months reached NT$28.932 billion, surging 89% year-on-year. Cumulative earnings per share (EPS) stood at NT$1.96, while the annualized return on equity (ROE) soared to 19.00%. All core financial metrics achieved record highs for the same period in company history, demonstrating robust operational growth momentum.
Looking at subsidiary performance, SinoPac Bank reported a monthly after-tax net profit of NT$1.994 billion, down 16% month-on-month, primarily due to higher provisioning expenses in July. However, its cumulative net profit for the first seven months reached NT$15.518 billion, up 21% year-on-year, marking the sixth consecutive year of record highs. This was driven by strong growth in net interest income and net fee income, which increased 26% and 13% respectively year-on-year. Asset quality remains excellent, with a non-performing loan (NPL) ratio of just 0.19% as of the end of July.
Despite a significant correction in the Taiwan stock market in July, SinoPac Securities delivered a monthly after-tax net profit of NT$1.416 billion, up 28% month-on-month. This was mainly due to higher dividend income and lower income tax expenses, which effectively offset the impact of market volatility on fee income. Cumulative net profit for the first seven months reached NT$8.764 billion, up 188% year-on-year, also setting a new historical high for the period.
King's Town Bank reported a monthly after-tax net profit of NT$567 million, down 39% month-on-month, mainly due to a high base from a large bad debt recovery in the previous month. However, monthly net revenue still maintained double-digit month-on-month growth. Cumulative net profit for the first seven months was NT$4.323 billion. After excluding the gain from the disposal of King's Town Bank International Leasing in January (NT$288 million) and amortization of intangible assets, its contribution to the financial holding company’s profit was NT$3.87 billion. Net interest income, fee income, and financial transaction income all performed strongly, with an NPL ratio as low as 0.05%.
SinoPac Financial Holdings’ monthly after-tax net profit in July was NT$4.381 billion, up 3% month-on-month and 68% year-on-year. Although the banking subsidiary’s profit was pressured by increased provisions, the third quarter marks the traditional dividend payout season, bringing substantial dividend income to the holding and securities segments. Combined with lower income tax expenses, a continued rebound in the Taiwan stock market could drive even higher profits in August.
