MediaTek (2454-TW), a leading IC design company, announced its July revenue of 484.75 billion NT dollars, down 16.44% month-on-month but up 12.16% year-on-year, setting a new high for the same period. Cumulative revenue for the first seven months reached 3,498.08 billion NT dollars, up 0.84% year-on-year. For Q3, MediaTek is expected to maintain revenue at the same level as the previous quarter, benefiting from the growing demand for smart device platforms, which will offset the sluggishness in the mobile business. July's revenue also set a new high for the same period.

Looking ahead to Q3, MediaTek estimates that under the assumption of a USD to NT dollar exchange rate of 32, its quarterly revenue will range from 1,522 billion to 1,598 billion NT dollars, with a quarterly increase of 0% to 5% and a year-on-year increase of 7% to 12%. Based on this month's revenue, there is a possibility that revenue in August and September will rebound to the 50 billion NT dollar range.

In recent years, MediaTek has shifted its resources to the AI ASIC sector and has recently raised its 2027 AI ASIC market share target from 10% to 15% to 15% to 20%. Assuming that the serviceable market size (SAM) for AI accelerator ASICs in 2027 will reach 80 billion US dollars, this would equate to a revenue contribution of 120 billion to 160 billion US dollars.

Additionally, MediaTek has secured the second-generation AI accelerator from CSP customers, and ASIC development is continuing as planned. Mass production is expected to begin in early 2028, which is expected to continue the high growth momentum of ASICs.
