Pegatron (4938-TW) announced its latest revenue figures today (10th), reporting NT$604.568 billion in cumulative revenue for the first seven months of the year, representing a modest year-on-year decline of approximately 2%. The company stated that peak demand for consumer electronics and communication products typically occurs in the second half of the year, and with its server business growing sequentially, it expects better operational performance in the second half compared to the first. Pegatron's revenue for July reached NT$86.015 billion, down 5.78% month-on-month but up 11.56% year-on-year. Cumulative revenue for the first seven months totaled NT$604.568 billion, down 1.99% year-on-year. Regarding notebook shipments, company management noted that July shipments reached 400,000 units, down 38.46% month-on-month and 46.67% year-on-year.
Pegatron previously indicated a positive outlook for its server business in the second half, expecting it to grow tenfold compared to last year.
