Driven by the rapid deployment of AI data centers and the upgrade of high-speed optical communications, demand for high-precision automated coupling equipment continues to rise. Gomtec (4573-TW), which transitioned from lens assembly to optical communication coupling stations, has already surpassed its full-year 2025 revenue in the first six months of 2026. The company announced today (10th) its latest revenue figures, revealing that July sales reached a record NT$200 million, up 22.47% month-on-month and 2.98 times year-on-year.
Gomtec's cumulative revenue for January to July 2026 reached NT$903 million, a 1.68-fold increase year-on-year.
Analysts project that Gomtec's revenue and profitability in the second half of 2026 will significantly outperform the first half, implying that full-year 2026 performance will more than double compared to the previous year.
Having obtained certification from a top 10 global optical communications brand, Gomtec has secured orders for 800G and 1.6T optical coupling alignment products. The company has also entered the high-potential markets of CPO (Co-Packaged Optics) packaging and testing, as well as precision assembly for FAU+MLA.
As a member of the Silicon Photonics Alliance, Gomtec has seen continuous growth in operational scale since 2026, with increasing order momentum and shipment activity in the fields of AI high-speed transmission and optical communication equipment. Additionally, the company successfully completed a capital increase of 4,000 shares at a premium price of NT$325 per share, raising NT$1.3 billion. Chairman Chen Chih-Hsin stated that the successful capital raise reflects capital market recognition of Gomtec's strategic shift toward silicon photonics equipment. Leveraging decades of expertise in precision motion control and integrating AI-based alignment algorithms, Gomtec aims to become an indispensable optical coupling solution provider in the CPO supply chain.
Operationally, Gomtec has secured certification from a top 10 global optical communications brand and obtained orders for 800G and 1.6T optical module coupling alignment modules. The company has also entered the CPO packaging and testing equipment market and FAU+MLA precision assembly. As customer projects progress, the company's backlog and operational visibility continue to strengthen. Analysts expect second-half 2026 revenue and profits to significantly exceed the first half.
The rise of AI computing is driving demand for high-speed optical interconnects. The global optical communications industry is rapidly transitioning from traditional pluggable optical modules to NPO (Near-Packaged Optics) and CPO (Co-Packaged Optics) architectures. By shortening electrical signal transmission distances and reducing power consumption, these architectures meet the high-speed transmission needs of next-generation AI servers and large-scale data centers. This shift is simultaneously accelerating demand for precision optical coupling, optical measurement, automated assembly, and packaging and testing equipment.
Today, Gomtec's final trading price on the Emerging Stock Market (GreTai) was NT$401.5.
