II. Strong Sectors

Three sectors stood out today: memory manufacturing, MLCC passive components, and optical communications CPO:

1. Memory Manufacturing (Average +9.84%): Rising spot prices for DRAM and NAND Flash, coupled with strong AI server demand for HBM and DDR5, fueled gains. Nanya Technology (2408) nearly hit the daily limit, closing at NT$502.00. Winbond (2344) surged +9.79% to NT$179.50, and Macronix (2337) jumped +9.88% to NT$133.50.

2. MLCC Passive Components (Average +7.56%): Reviving demand from high-end automotive and AI servers boosted the sector. Hosen Tang (3026) hit the daily limit at NT$588.00, Walsin Technology (2492) rose +8.96% to NT$273.50, and Yageo (2327) gained NT$33 (+6.11%) to close at NT$573.00.

3. Optical CPO & GaAs (Average +7.10% / +5.90%): Strong demand for 800G and 1.6T optical modules drove performance. United Microelectronics Advanced (3081) hit the limit at NT$2,535.00, Sanechips (3363) gapped up to close limit-up at NT$640.00, and Holtek (4979) rose +9.84% to NT$536.00.

III. Weak Sectors

Airline and defensive telecom stocks pulled back short-term:
