On November 11, memory-related stocks took a breather in the Taipei stock market, while electronics stocks were supported by passive components, PCB, BBU, and thermal-related groups. TSMC (2330-TW), which reported solid fundamentals, closed up NT$15 at NT$2,395, helping the main index gain 191.96 points to close at 45,120.72. However, turnover was relatively low at NT$869.017 billion.
Meanwhile, the OTC index, representing small and mid-cap stocks, showed weakness during the session but surged at the close, ending at 391.68 points, up 0.02%.
In the foreign exchange market, the New Taiwan dollar traded at NT$32.239 against the US dollar at midday, depreciating by 0.8 cents, with transaction volume reaching US$738 million.
Regarding today's market trend, senior securities analyst Jane Chien pointed out, "The short-term rally has been significant, triggering profit-taking pressure, and follow-up buying momentum is insufficient. The leading groups in the OTC market were weak today, and overbought stocks saw pullbacks. The main index faces resistance around 45,000 points, and a short-term correction is expected. If the market can stabilize above the monthly line after a pullback, there remains room for a rebound." She added that this week marks the peak of earnings announcements, with companies such as Hon Hai (2317-TW), Qioptiq (3017-TW), and Quanta Computer (2382-TW) holding their earnings briefings. Investors should pay attention to stocks with strong quarterly results and positive forward guidance.

The electronics index rose 0.54%, accounting for 81.97% of total turnover, while the financial and insurance index fell 1.13%, accounting for 2.21%.
