Zyxel, a subsidiary of Zyxel Communications (3704-TW), announced today (11th) that the JW Marriott Maldives Resort has adopted its Nebula cloud networking solution. By deploying over 100 wireless access points (APs), the resort has established a cloud-managed architecture that delivers a stable and high-density wireless connectivity environment for employee housing, meeting the resort team's need for reliable network access.

The employee housing area at the JW Marriott Maldives Resort spans five buildings. Providing consistent and reliable network coverage across such a wide area presents significant challenges for both hardware infrastructure and daily maintenance. Therefore, for management, the key to success lies not only in expanding equipment numbers but also in designing a network architecture that overcomes signal interference while enabling easy large-scale management.

Zyxel's technical team redesigned the wireless network architecture, deploying approximately 95 NWA90AX PRO wireless access points across the employee housing area. Outdoor areas are supported by NWA55AXE wireless APs, extending Wi-Fi signals to gardens and other public spaces. This new architecture resolves previous issues where signals were often blocked by metal partitions in rooms due to reliance on corridor-mounted APs, ensuring complete signal coverage without dead zones in the housing area.

Each housing building is equipped with GS1920-24HPv2 smart managed switches. The built-in PoE power supply function significantly streamlines deployment, freeing AP installation from power outlet constraints and effectively solving complex cabling challenges across multiple buildings.

Through Zyxel's Nebula cloud management platform, the IT team can easily monitor and remotely manage the entire network via a single interface. Additionally, Nebula features built-in AI-driven Wireless Health functionality that automatically detects and diagnoses Wi-Fi anomalies, proactively resolving issues before they impact resort operations and continuously optimizing network performance.

Lin Yung-Yi, Senior Associate Director of Zyxel's Networking Business Group, stated, "The industry typically focuses on guest networks, often overlooking the connectivity needs of back-end teams. In reality, both are equally important. Guests may be on vacation, but the network systems supporting operations cannot afford a single moment of downtime. This project proves that a comprehensive solution combined with professional local service is the key to success. Zyxel ensures smooth operations through stable connectivity and demonstrates that no wall is too thick when the network architecture is well-designed."
