Chunghwa Post announced today (11th) that since relocating the Taipei Mail Processing Center to the A7 Logistics Park in Guishan, Taoyuan on May 4 this year, initial operations faced challenges due to the integration phase among new automated equipment, staff, and information systems, which temporarily limited overall processing efficiency. However, after fully implementing optimization measures, all operations at the A7 Logistics Park are now running smoothly.

Overall operational performance in the first half of this year has surpassed the same period last year. To address staffing shortages caused by increasing business volume, the company has launched a large-scale recruitment drive. Breaking precedent, it conducted three internal and external staff recruitment exams in the first half, selecting a total of 364 regular and reserve hires. Additionally, a nationwide recruitment exam for career-track personnel is underway, aiming to hire 1,448 individuals. Combined, these efforts will fill the 1,681 vacant positions by the fourth quarter of this year, significantly boosting operational capacity.

To accelerate the transition out of the initial adjustment period, Chunghwa Post has fully implemented a 20-digit mail tracking number system and optimized one-stop customer service to improve information processing efficiency from the source. Internally, the company has standardized cardboard boxes, reengineered logistics flow paths and processing procedures, and enhanced staff practical training. These comprehensive improvements have led to smooth mail processing operations, with automated equipment gradually optimized and operating stably, demonstrating the high efficiency of a next-generation logistics hub.

Furthermore, in response to frontline workers' concerns about high-temperature working conditions, Chunghwa Post has actively improved workplace environments. In addition to providing outdoor staff with heat-relief supplies, electric fans and misting coolers have been installed throughout indoor work areas. The annual beverage allowance for outdoor staff has been increased from NT$1,000 to NT$1,200 per person. Regarding employee suggestions to purchase fan-equipped cooling vests, the company stated it will continue monitoring the market for more mature and safe product technologies and carefully evaluate the feasibility of implementation, reaffirming its commitment to employee welfare, duty safety, and wearing comfort.
