Taisun (1218-TW) has filed for provisional enforcement regarding its investment repayment claim against JKO Fintech Investment, successfully seizing 50 million shares — representing 100% equity — of JKO E-Payment (6038-TW) held by JKO Fintech. According to subsequent court enforcement procedures, these shares will be auctioned at a later date, and Taisun intends to participate in the bidding.

JKO E-Payment is a publicly listed company with a capitalization of NT$500 million. Its financial report for the first half of 2026 shows revenue of NT$373 million, a gross margin of 51.31%, but a post-tax net loss of NT$26.31 million, which represents an increase compared to the same period last year, with a net loss per share of NT$0.53.

Taisun’s board of directors passed a resolution today (the 13th) to participate in the equity auction bid for JKO E-Payment and authorized the chairman to fully represent the company in bidding for the 50 million shares (100% equity) of JKO E-Payment at the Civil Enforcement Office of Taiwan Taipei District Court, within a maximum bid amount not exceeding the original investment principal of NT$3.5958 billion and no more than NT$20 million below the highest bid from other bidders.

Taisun stated that this matter has already been approved by the board, and the company will convene an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting to seek shareholder approval for authorizing participation in the auction bid.

Taisun emphasized that its participation in the auction process is aimed at protecting corporate assets and the interests of all shareholders. The company will continue to follow judicial procedures, resolutions from the shareholders’ meeting, and relevant laws and regulations, while promptly disclosing any major developments.

Additionally, during the first half of 2026, Taisun recognized an impairment loss of NT$520 million on its prepaid investment in JKO Fintech. Originally, Taisun paid NT$3.6 billion to JKO Fintech Co., Ltd. as an investment. Due to disputes over the investment transaction, the company filed a lawsuit on August 30, 2023, requesting the return of NT$3.5958 billion. On May 13, 2025, it won the first-instance judgment at the Taiwan Taipei District Court, with provisional enforcement granted.

Currently, Taisun has applied for provisional enforcement and seized related assets of JKO Fintech, including 50 million shares of JKO E-Payment Co., Ltd. held by JKO Fintech — equivalent to 100% of JKO E-Payment’s equity.
