Kao Shu-Kuo, Chief Operating Officer and President of Information Products at PC brand Acer (2353-TW), recently faced media scrutiny over personal allegations. Today (14th), Acer officially announced that Kao has resigned from his position as COO, with Chairman and CEO Jason Chen temporarily taking over the responsibilities.

In addition, Kao also served as Chairman of Acer Gaming (6908-TW) and E-Ten Cosmos (2432-TW), both subsidiaries of the Acer Group. His resignation from these chairmanship roles was announced simultaneously.

Both Acer Gaming and E-Ten Cosmos have issued public notices stating they will promptly convene board meetings to elect new chairpersons.
