Getac Holding (3005-TW) held an earnings briefing today (14th). Chairman Huang Ming-Han stated that second-half performance is expected to exceed the first half, driven by momentum from rugged computers and automotive mechanical components. The company maintains its full-year revenue growth target of 5% to 10%. The drone Ground Control Station (GCS) solution has successfully secured major reference customers across Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East, and is projected to contribute approximately 8–12% of rugged computer revenue next year.

Huang Ming-Han explained that Getac integrates rugged laptops, tablets, and ground control stations, combining them with wireless communication modules and collaborating closely with system integrators (SIs) to build a superior business model. 'If Getac says we're number two, no one dares claim to be number one,' he said, emphasizing that this unique business model significantly increases the likelihood of converting potential opportunities into actual revenue contributions. This year, the number of potential customers has increased more than tenfold compared to last year.

Regarding operational outlook, Huang noted that growth momentum for rugged computers remains positive, with a full-year growth expectation still maintained at 20–30%. Currently, AI-enabled rugged computers are receiving high interest from customers. Initial deployment focuses on military and law enforcement applications, with expansion expected into other fields in the future. In response to rising component prices such as memory, rugged computers were already price-increased by 20–30% in the first half, with a further 5–10% increase possible in the third to fourth quarters.

For notebook-related integrated mechanical components, an 8–12% decline is forecast for this year. Current performance remains within the originally expected range. However, signs of recovery have emerged in the second half, primarily driven by growth in gaming and game consoles. Additionally, carbon fiber mechanical components have been adopted by two brand customers, with shipments scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter.

Automotive mechanical components are benefiting from visible automation efficiency gains on production lines, with full-year growth expected to exceed the initial forecast of 10–16%. The company is also entering high-value-added new applications. Surface-treated products for Domain Controllers are scheduled to begin shipping to Tier 1 customers in the fourth quarter. With unit prices 3 to 5 times higher than existing products, expanded scale is expected to significantly boost performance in the automotive mechanical components segment.
