Xusheng Green Energy (7931-TW) announced today (20th) that its green energy development subsidiary, Xuxing, together with parent group Zhongmei Crystal (5483-TW), has formally signed a 20-year Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) with renewable energy developer Skyhawk Capital. The collaboration involves a total installed capacity of 26.3MW and is expected to supply over 32 million kWh of green electricity annually.
Xusheng believes this partnership will significantly expand its long-term green power resources and supply capabilities, helping enterprises meet RE100 (global corporate renewable energy initiative), Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and supply chain decarbonization requirements.
The green power for this collaboration originates from 26.3MW aquavoltaic solar photovoltaic (PV) projects located in Xuejia and Madou Districts, Tainan City, developed by Skyhawk Capital. Skyhawk provides the renewable electricity, while Xuxing handles green power integration, trading, and wheeling services. The projects are estimated to generate over 32 million kWh annually, delivering an annual carbon reduction benefit of approximately 14,900 metric tons of CO2 equivalent. Over the 20-year cooperation period, cumulative power supply could exceed 640 million kWh, with total carbon reduction exceeding 290,000 metric tons of CO2.
These projects adopt an aquavoltaic model, promoting renewable energy development while maintaining aquaculture production, thus balancing green power supply with multi-use land utilization.
Xusheng Green Energy, under the Zhongmei Silicon Group, serves as a comprehensive provider of enterprise energy transition solutions, integrating energy creation, sales, storage, efficiency, and management services to deliver one-stop energy solutions. Its subsidiary Xuxing specializes in corporate PPAs, green power trading, renewable energy certificates (RECs), and energy management services, assisting businesses in planning green power procurement strategies.
Skyhawk Capital is a clean energy platform focused on developing, constructing, and operating clean energy projects across Taiwan and the broader Asia-Pacific region. This collaboration combines both parties’ expertise in renewable energy development, green power integration, and wheeling services to provide enterprises with long-term, stable green power sources.
Additionally, this CPPA transaction incorporates Sinopac Bank’s green power trust mechanism, which uses a trust structure to provide financial flow and performance management services, enhancing transparency and fulfillment assurance for long-term power purchase agreements and further improving the green power trading framework.
Chen Zhenqian, CEO of Zhongmei Crystal and Chairman of Xusheng Green Energy, stated: "As global supply chains continue advancing low-carbon transformation, green power has become an essential foundation for enterprises to maintain competitiveness and respond to customer decarbonization demands. Signing this 20-year corporate PPA with Skyhawk Capital not only expands Xusheng Green Energy’s green power resources but also enhances our overall green power supply and service capabilities. Going forward, Xusheng Green Energy will continue integrating energy creation, sales, storage, efficiency, and energy management services to help enterprises increase their renewable energy usage, fulfill decarbonization commitments, and achieve net-zero transition goals."
Lu Renkai, General Manager of Skyhawk Capital Taiwan, said: "Corporate PPAs establish a long-term, stable operational foundation for renewable energy projects while helping enterprises secure reliable green power sources—they are a crucial collaborative model for advancing renewable energy development. Building a long-term partnership with Xuxing allows us to combine our respective expertise in renewable energy development and green power services, enhancing green power supply stability and jointly supporting Taiwan’s corporate energy transition and renewable energy market growth."
