Computer peripherals manufacturer Zygen (4905-TW) participated in the 2026 Taipei International Industrial Automation Fair from August 19 to 22, fully exhibiting intelligent robots and integrated automation applications centered on Edge AI Sensor Fusion. By integrating capabilities in AI perception, edge computing, and complete system development and manufacturing, Zygen has initiated market testing of its service robots with customers in Japan and South Korea, targeting initial mass production introduction as early as 2027.
Focusing on labor shortages in the food service industry, Zygen is advancing the commercialization of autonomous delivery robots. These robots integrate AI vision, multi-sensor fusion localization, and Edge AI computing technologies, enabling real-time environmental awareness, autonomous navigation, and intelligent obstacle avoidance. They maintain stable operation and precise food delivery even in narrow 45cm-wide corridors. When paired with the DishUp AI smart dining solution, they seamlessly connect processes such as meal verification, dispatch, and autonomous delivery, effectively reducing manpower burdens and improving operational efficiency.
In industrial logistics and warehousing applications, Zygen demonstrated its full-unit design and module integration capabilities for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). The equipment features modular design and interchangeable upper structures, allowing rapid customization based on different factory operational needs. By further integrating AI vision-based personnel following, human-robot interaction, and acoustic sensing technologies, Zygen showcases its group’s vertical integration strengths, helping factory material delivery and warehouse logistics customers shorten time-to-market for mass production.
For smart manufacturing lines, Zygen introduced two major Edge AI intelligent inspection solutions covering vision and acoustics to meet diverse process and quality control requirements. The visual Edge AI solution focuses on detecting product appearance, workflow, and process anomalies to enhance quality consistency. The acoustic Edge AI solution analyzes sound and vibration signals during equipment operation, transforming expert human experience into quantifiable metrics to strengthen anomaly warnings and enable real-time perception and decision-making on production lines.
Zygen Chairman Pan Yung-Chung stated that as AI rapidly enters the real world, the deep integration of multi-modal sensing and Edge AI will become a key driver in upgrading intelligent robots and automated equipment. Built upon Taiwan-developed AI Sensor Fusion technology, the Zygen Group possesses comprehensive capabilities spanning sensor modules, Edge AI computing, and system integration. Leveraging Zygen’s expertise in vision and Edge AI and Defontaine’s strengths in acoustic technology, the group applies its ODM+ one-stop integration capability to help global customers accelerate product innovation and the real-world deployment of smart applications.
Chairman Pan added that from food service in Japan and Korea to industrial logistics and smart manufacturing, Zygen is progressively bringing AI Sensor Fusion into more real-world environments. This enables intelligent automation not only to be visible but also truly deployable and value-generating, fulfilling the vision of 'Bring Intelligent Automation Experience to Life.'
