Global decorative casting manufacturer Taijin-KY (6629-TW) today released its latest earnings, reporting a post-tax net profit of NT$248 million in the first half of 2026, a 3.36-fold year-on-year increase, matching its full-year 2025 profit, with earnings per share (EPS) reaching NT$6.46.
In Q2 2026, Taijin-KY achieved revenue of NT$654 million, with a gross margin of 24.43%, up 2.84% quarter-on-quarter but down 9.55 percentage points year-on-year. The company posted a quarterly net profit of NT$110 million, down 19.83% from the previous quarter but turning profitable compared to the same period last year, with quarterly EPS at NT$2.88.
For the first half of 2026, Taijin-KY recorded revenue of NT$1.35 billion, with a gross margin of 22.97%, down 9.3 percentage points year-on-year. Net profit reached NT$248 million, up 3.36 times year-on-year, matching its full-year 2025 profit, with EPS at NT$6.46.
Historically focused on decorative hardware components, Taijin-KY primarily serves major U.S.-based international brands and distribution clients. Prior to 2025, its core products included cabinet hardware, bathroom fittings, and window hardware. Starting in Q4 of last year, the company began manufacturing plumbing fixtures on an OEM basis, which is expected to contribute to full-year revenue this year. Combined with new products and new customers added this year, revenue growth has been evident since the beginning of the year.
On profitability, despite a significant shift in product mix leading to a lower overall average gross margin compared to last year, the company's gross margin has steadily improved in Q2 compared to Q4 2025 and Q1 2026, as new product production stabilizes. Coupled with substantial revenue growth, this enabled the company to achieve record-high profits for the first half of the year.
Looking ahead, despite the North American real estate market not yet fully recovering, Taijin-KY continues to see strong revenue growth due to an increasing customer base. With ongoing efforts to improve gross margin performance, the company has the potential to challenge its historical profit highs and achieve new milestones this year.
