Taiwan Mobile (3045-TW) announced today (28th) that as global Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) e-commerce transaction volumes continue to rise, its 'Da Ge Pay Installment' service has expanded its platform partnerships—from domestic e-commerce platforms such as momo and 91APP—to the international cross-border shipping and proxy purchasing platform Buy&Ship—further broadening its payment footprint.
Wu Chien-i, Deputy General Manager of Telecom Financial Services at Taiwan Mobile, pointed out that BNPL is evolving from a single-channel checkout option into a flexible payment tool that can be used across multiple platforms. In 2025, 'Da Ge Pay Installment' saw a 64% year-on-year increase in transaction value and a user base growth of over 60%. This integration with Buy&Ship extends the service from domestic e-commerce platforms like momo and 91APP to cross-border shopping.
Taiwan Mobile stated that the introduction of 'Da Ge Pay Installment' on Buy&Ship now offers consumers an additional installment payment option alongside cross-border shipping and proxy purchasing services, allowing them to manage concentrated overseas spending according to their personal financial situations. Additionally, the motivations behind cross-border consumption are shifting from price-driven purchases to include overseas-exclusive items, rare collectibles, and passion-driven goods.
Taiwan Mobile further noted that it will continue embedding its BNPL service into diverse shopping journeys—from large-scale e-commerce platforms and brand-specific online stores to cross-border shopping—ensuring that installment payments are not limited to a single platform and expanding the range of payment scenarios available to consumers.
Regarding the current state of BNPL, Worldpay's 'Global Payments Report 2026' estimates that global BNPL e-commerce transaction value will reach $500 billion by 2030.
