Major electronics stocks and high-priced stocks performed robustly, while sectors such as optical communications, IC design, and wafer foundry were each driven by their own catalysts, pushing the index up over 700 points during the day. In the final trading segment, large buy orders from foundry giants TSMC (2330-TW) and UMC (2303-TW) further lifted the index toward the 47,000-point level. The market closed at 46,948.72 points, a gain of 820.25 points (1.78%), with turnover slightly lower at NT$1.08 trillion. The three major institutional investors collectively bought NT$56.139 billion.

Analyzing the trading activities of the three major institutional investors today: foreign investors bought NT$26.708 billion, proprietary traders bought NT$16.33 billion, and investment trusts bought NT$13.102 billion, resulting in a total net buy of NT$56.139 billion.
