Despite recent significant fluctuations in the Taiwanese stock market, market capital has not exited but has instead focused on key areas such as AI servers, advanced packaging, optical communications, and high-speed transmission. As the mainstream themes rotate, active ETFs have once again demonstrated their advantage in flexible allocation, with multiple active ETFs such as 00980A, 00401A, 00981A, and 00991A approaching new highs in their net asset values. Morgan Asset Management pointed out that in the past month, advanced packaging, optical communications, and low-Earth orbit satellites have been the top three trends in the market. Compared to traditional market-cap or high-dividend ETFs, active ETFs can more precisely capture recent market trends.

Dai Xinling, the product manager of Morgan Taiwan Xinxin Active ETF (00401-TW), stated that as of September 2nd, 00401A's allocation in semiconductor testing and advanced packaging has exceeded 50%, while high-speed transmission and optical communications account for over 20%, with more than 70% of its assets focused on the most popular themes in the market, driving its net asset value to successfully surpass the 14 yuan mark.

Dai Xinling pointed out that in addition to technology stocks, 00401A has also allocated some financial and traditional manufacturing stocks, fully demonstrating its 'upward momentum driven by AI technology, downward support from financial and traditional manufacturing' shock-resistant characteristics during the August market volatility. This shows that the advantage of active stock selection is further amplified during high market volatility.

Currently, the top five holdings of 00401A are TSMC (2330-TW), MediaTek (2454-TW), Largan Precision (3008-TW), Delta Electronics (2308-TW), and Chicony (2445-TW), accounting for nearly 30% of the asset scale. The team added optical communications, AI servers, low-Earth orbit satellites, and advanced process-related index stocks during August, such as Quanta Computer (2382-TW), Wistron (2313-TW), Xtend (5274-TW), Silergy (3491-TW), and Chwanlai (2059-TW).

Among them, Wistron benefits from the growth in demand for 800G and 1.6T optical modules, the upgrade of AI server specifications, and the development of Starlink V3 satellite business opportunities. Silergy, on the other hand, benefits from the expected increase in low-Earth orbit satellite production and, after acquiring Gigafrequency, has entered the fields of AI high-speed transmission and terahertz technology. Even with the significant market volatility in recent months, the research team has fully utilized the flexibility of active management to precisely capture the upward momentum of industries such as advanced packaging, heat dissipation, and high-speed transmission.
