Following Apple's (AAPL-US) fall launch event, the company's official website now lists only four iPhone models for sale: iPhone Air, iPhone 17, iPhone 17e, and iPhone 16. The iPhone 17 Pro series has been discontinued.
In line with Apple's standard product lifecycle, Pro models are typically discontinued after a new generation is launched, leaving only the base models available for purchase.
Additionally, Apple has adjusted the prices of several older iPhone models on its official website. The iPhone Air 256GB and 512GB versions have increased by RMB 800, while the 1TB version has risen by RMB 2,300. The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17e have both increased by RMB 800. The iPhone 16 128GB version has increased by RMB 600.
According to a report by Kankan News Knews on Friday the 11th, at an Apple直营 store in Shanghai, the iPhone 17 Pro series—already discontinued on Apple's official website—remains available in-store, with no price increase.
Staff revealed that current inventory is expected to last only about three to four more days and will not be replenished. Regarding the price increases on older models like the iPhone 17, staff cited rising memory chip costs as the reason.
