9/11 25th Anniversary! Trump: Two Firefighters Carried Me Out of the Scene During the Terror Attack

According to NBC News, on September 8th (Tuesday) local time, former U.S. President Donald Trump said that after the '9/11' attack, near the site of the World Trade Center ruins, next to the American Steel Building, two firefighters lifted him from the ground and quickly took him away from the scene.

'I will never forget those two firefighters. At the time, we thought the building was about to collapse on top of us. Two tall and strong firefighters, I myself am not small, they held my armpits and said, 'We must leave here immediately,' Trump described.

He said, 'They really lifted me up entirely. This was not easy, I am a large person, they lifted me up and ran with me. I said, 'Guys, I can run by myself.' They were very brave, at the time they were convinced the building was about to collapse.'

When reporters asked Trump about the timeline and specific details after the '9/11' attack, White House spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany said, 'Trump is simply recounting his personal experience during the aftermath of that horrific attack, and in the days and weeks that followed, as the entire city was in turmoil.'

Trump has previously recounted his eyewitness account of the '9/11' attack on the day it occurred, as well as his actions just after the attack ended, but most of the content has not been independently verified.

The United States will hold a series of events on the 11th to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the '9/11' attack. On September 11, 2001, suicide attackers hijacked U.S. passenger planes and crashed them into two skyscrapers in New York, killing thousands.
