Chinese E-commerce Platform Discounts iPhone 18 Pro, Apple Responds!

On September 14 (Monday), a certain Chinese e-commerce platform displayed that the price of the 256G iPhone 18 Pro had dropped to 9,099 yuan (same below), which is 900 yuan cheaper than the official price on Apple's (AAPL-US) website (official subsidy of 300 yuan, store discount of 600 yuan).

The platform's customer service staff reminded: "The product's purchase price will fluctuate in real-time according to market conditions, so the product is not price-protected. The real-time order discount price applies, and no refunds or compensation will be provided after the order is placed."

At 12:00 AM Taiwan time on September 10, Apple announced the iPhone 18 Pro series, the first foldable phone iPhone Duo, Apple Watch Series 12, and other new products.

According to _Zhongxin Jingwei_, regarding the "e-commerce platform iPhone 18 Pro price drop" situation, Apple's official customer service staff said: "Third-party channels have their own pricing rights. They may have platform subsidies or store discounts. Apple official will not interfere."

The staff said that all self-operated products on the platform should have no quality issues, but there are differences in after-sales rights. The official Apple channel supports 14-day no-reason return/exchange, even if it has been used, as long as the box and phone are intact, consumers can return/exchange within the period.

However, other platforms may only support 7 days or not support return/exchange at all. Consumers need to pay attention to the after-sales rules of each platform before purchasing.
