iPhone 18 Pro Drops 900 Yuan Just Two Days After Pre-Order Launch in China

Apple's (AAPL-US) iPhone 18 Pro series, officially launched for pre-order just two days ago, has already seen its price cut by Chinese e-commerce platforms.

On September 14 (Monday), one major e-commerce platform listed the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro at 9,099 yuan (RMB), a sharp 900-yuan reduction from Apple's official retail price.

This 900-yuan discount consists of two parts: a 300-yuan official subsidy and a 600-yuan store-exclusive promotion. The seller promises shipment by September 27.

According to Jiemian News, customer service warned: "Electronics pricing is inherently unstable, and procurement costs fluctuate in real time based on market conditions. We assure you that your order reflects the best real-time price available. Therefore, this item is not eligible for price protection—no refunds or adjustments will be made after order confirmation."

In the early hours of September 10 (Taiwan time), Apple unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro series, its first foldable device iPhone Duo, and the Apple Watch Series 12, among other new products.

The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max feature 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays respectively, continuing the aluminum unibody design. Available in four colors—black, silver, glacier blue, and burgundy red—all models start at 256GB storage, with a maximum option of 2TB.

Battery performance sees the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max offering typical usage times of 24 and 30 hours respectively, with video playback lasting up to 36 and 45 hours. Using a compatible 60W adapter, the devices can charge to 50% in approximately 15 minutes.

Pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro series officially opened at 8:00 PM on September 12. Within less than a minute, the series sold out across multiple platforms in China. By 10:00 PM, Apple’s website still allowed orders, but delivery timelines for popular configurations had been significantly delayed, pushing shipment dates to September 30 and beyond.
