IC packaging major Powertech Technology (6239-TW) announced today (24th) the execution status of its treasury share repurchase program. In this round, 923 shares were repurchased for a total amount of NT$272 million, with an average repurchase price of NT$294.47 per share. To date, a cumulative total of 9,714 shares have been repurchased, achieving a high execution rate of 97%. The buyback program concludes on September 30, with two trading days remaining to potentially reach the 100% target.

Powertech announced the share buyback from August 10 to September 30 to boost employee morale and retain talent, planning to repurchase 10,000 shares for employee transfer. The repurchase price range was set between NT$250 and NT$350 per share, also providing support to the company's stock price.

Reviewing the nine repurchase records disclosed by Powertech, the company has spent a total of NT$2.705 billion in the open market to acquire shares. The average repurchase price across all transactions remained below NT$300, at approximately NT$278. Among the nine buybacks, the highest average price was this round’s NT$294.47, and the lowest was NT$265.

Powertech’s previous share buyback was completed on November 30, 2021, when it successfully repurchased the full 20,000 shares planned, achieving a 100% execution rate, demonstrating a strong track record.

Looking ahead, Powertech expects its operations to grow sequentially in the second half of this year, driven by surging memory demand, steadily increasing logic demand, and the positive impact of higher foundry pricing. Next year, the company anticipates a new wave of growth momentum as its long-developed panel-level packaging technology gains formal approval from two major customers.
