Hanxiang Completes Production of 66 Indigenous Brave Eagle Advanced Trainers, Launching Full Life-Cycle Support

Hanxiang (2634-TW) announced today (24th) the delivery of the final two units of the Brave Eagle advanced trainer, completing the full production run of 66 domestically built aircraft. This concludes the over nine-year mission of developing and mass-producing the new advanced jet trainer. Hanxiang Chairman Tsao Jin-Ping stated, 'This marks the completion of a challenging mission and leaves us with comprehensive manufacturing and integration experience for the next phase—military aircraft maintenance, upgrades, logistics support, and future programs.' Hanxiang, as the original equipment manufacturer, will now fully implement its full life-cycle support contracts.

In this project, Hanxiang served as the key integrator, overseeing the entire aircraft design, component manufacturing, assembly, and testing. The company also subcontracted and supported over 200 domestic suppliers, elevating Taiwan's manufacturing capabilities to aerospace-grade standards.

Hanxiang explained that the new advanced trainer evolved from the IDF fighter jet, with over 80% of the aircraft redesigned—including aerodynamics, exterior shape, and structural details. The local content rate reached 55%. Mass production began in 2021, and despite disruptions in the aerospace supply chain and persistent component shortages throughout the production period, the company fulfilled its commitment to complete production this year.

Hanxiang CEO Chuang Hsiu-Mei stated that, in line with policy objectives, the Brave Eagle will replace aging F-5E/F and AT-3 military aircraft, advancing the Air Force's pilot training program to a 'three-stage, two-aircraft-type' system. Going forward, Hanxiang will shift its focus to fleet logistics support and continue providing maintenance and repair services to help the Air Force maintain aircraft readiness and achieve training goals.
