How does jewelry relate to life milestones? Life is full of milestones such as weddings, births, birthdays, and anniversaries. Jewelry is frequently chosen as a gift for these special days. Rings and necklaces serve as tangible memories of the day they were received. We conducted a survey with 500 men and women nationwide in collaboration with JEWELRY KIKUYA to understand the relationship between jewelry and life events.

29.8% have experience giving or receiving jewelry for milestones When asked if they had ever given or received jewelry for a life milestone, 12.8% said they had given, 10.8% had received, and 6.2% had done both, totaling 29.8%. Conversely, 70.2% had no such experience.

66.4% cite "Marriage/Engagement" as the milestone Among those with experience, 66.4% cited "Marriage/Engagement" as the occasion. This was followed by "Birthdays" (39.6%) and "Christmas/Valentine's Day" (16.1%).

69.8% cite "Rings" as the type of jewelry Among those with experience, 69.8% cited "Rings (including engagement/wedding rings)" as the jewelry type, followed by "Necklaces/Pendants" (39.6%).

18.8% have considered "Renewing or Remodeling" Among ring owners, 18.8% have considered or have already remodeled/replaced their rings for a milestone. Reasons included size changes and a desire to cherish the anniversary.

10.4% want their jewelry to be "Inherited" When asked if they want their children or grandchildren to inherit their jewelry, 10.4% said yes, while 89.6% were not interested.

29.2% are positive about "Remodeling as a gift" Finally, 29.2% expressed a positive view on the idea of "remodeling existing jewelry as a milestone gift" rather than buying new, citing the value of memories and the beauty of passing things down in a new form.
