Next Innovation Inc. (Kita-ku, Osaka; Kenichi Ishii, Representative Director) announces that "toreluna" (hereinafter referred to as "Toreluna"), a service that provides free menstrual napkins in individual toilet stalls, has decided to donate menstrual napkins to Hokkaido University of Education (Sapporo, Hokkaido) as part of its "1minute,1napkin" project.

This project is promoted through a partnership between our company and the international cooperation NGO JOICFP to install menstrual hygiene products in educational settings and to promote understanding of SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights), including menstruation, which is one of women's health issues. We will continue to expand our collaborations with schools, municipalities, companies, and related organizations, aiming to create an environment where the continuous installation and operation of menstrual hygiene products becomes established.

Comment from Hokkaido University of Education

We believe that difficulties related to menstruation are not individual problems, but issues related to learning and participation in student life. The menstrual hygiene products provided this time will be utilized to create an environment where anyone can use them with peace of mind when needed. Along with opportunities to learn about SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights), we aim to create a campus where students can learn and spend their time with peace of mind.

About the "1minute,1napkin" Project

In addition to providing napkins in individual stalls, Toreluna runs the "1minute,1napkin" initiative, where for every minute of advertising played at Toreluna installation locations nationwide, one menstrual napkin is delivered to where it is needed. This initiative, where advertising on Toreluna digital signage contributes to solving social issues, is a system for delivering to regions and organizations that need menstrual hygiene products, such as municipalities, schools, and disaster-stricken areas, in collaboration with partner companies.

Also Expected for Use as Disaster Preparedness Stockpile

The menstrual napkins donated through this project can be used not only for regular use but also for life support during disasters.

- Disaster preparedness stockpile - Life support in evacuation centers - Regional disaster prevention measures

They can also be utilized as disaster preparedness stock. We will develop this initiative in collaboration with regions, including educational institutions, as an effort that contributes to regional safety.
