In this course, we will enjoy 'Anne of Green Gables' in the original English written by L.M. Montgomery.

Montgomery's characteristic descriptive prose is deeply rewarding, and reading it as an adult is sure to stir your heart once again.

We will begin by having the instructor carefully teach tips for reading English, helping you become comfortable with the language.

From there, we will read one to two chapters per session, while exploring the historical background of the work and the psychological depth of the characters.

By savoring Montgomery's masterful prose as Anne grows through various experiences, we will also look at the nuances that differ from translated versions.

You may find that you have a completely different impression than the 'Anne of Green Gables' you remember.
