In recent years, a 'knitting boom' has been ongoing across a wide range of generations, especially on social media platforms.

In response, the NHK Culture Center Aoyama will launch a series of craft workshops in the summer of 2026, featuring popular knit designers and creators as instructors. These workshops were curated to meet the demands of those who want to start knitting, recreate projects they've seen online, or learn directly from their favorite creators.

[Course List]

1. Nagi’s Knits: Knitting Global Traditions: A course where participants knit projects inspired by traditional patterns from around the world at their own pace. 2. Introduction to Weaving Crochet: A new technique combining crochet and weaving, taught by designer Akiko Hinata. 3. Knitting Socks for Beginners: A sock knitting workshop supported by designer wooco, with a choice of two designs. 4. Top-Down Round Yoke Pullover: A practical sweater-making workshop by designer kukiko, using Japanese pattern instructions. 5. Daily Knit Studio: Heart Cable Vest: A face-to-face lesson led by knit creator MANAMI.

Being able to learn directly from popular creators is the main attraction of these workshops. We invite you to turn your crafting aspirations into reality this summer.
