Fukushima Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Motomiya City, Fukushima Prefecture, President: Takuya Sato), and has commenced new employment for people with disabilities utilizing satellite offices. Through this initiative, we aim to provide an environment where people with disabilities can work true to themselves, while also promoting improved operational efficiency and diversity within the company.

Background and Objectives of Implementation

Fukushima Nissan is strengthening its employment initiatives for people with disabilities to fulfill its corporate social responsibility (CSR) and achieve the statutory employment rate. Previously, challenges such as "difficulty in segmenting job duties" and "insufficient workplace support systems" existed. However, we determined that these challenges could be resolved by utilizing satellite offices staffed by specialized personnel. Instead of merely paying a delinquency fee, we are investing our budget into "recruiting staff who can be a valuable asset and establishing the necessary environment." By segmenting routine and creative tasks within the company, we aim to create an environment where existing employees can focus on their specialized duties, thereby improving overall operational efficiency.

Overview and Features of the Initiative

In this initiative, people with disabilities will be directly employed by Fukushima Nissan and will work remotely from a satellite office located in Koriyama City (1-7-6 Ekimae, Koriyama City), operated by Mind Co., Ltd. The most significant feature of this employment is the presence of "specialized staff" from the operating company stationed at the office.

Health and Mental Management

Specialized staff will conduct daily interviews to understand the employee's physical condition and any concerns, providing support to ensure stable attendance and work. Health consultations are also available at the Mind Group's internal medical clinic if necessary.

Work Support by Specialized Staff

In response to work instructions from the head office, specialized staff stationed at the satellite office will provide supplementary explanations and follow-up as needed, while confirming the understanding of the employee with disabilities. Furthermore, by supporting progress management and attendance tracking, the management burden on the head office is reduced, establishing a system where work can be entrusted with peace of mind.

Specific Job Duties

The hired staff will be entrusted with a wide range of duties as new assets for Fukushima Nissan, including:

Production of promotional materials for internal and external use (images, flyers, POPs, etc.) and creation/editing of YouTube videos.

Updating job search navigation sites, creating business card data, preparing various application forms and invoices, ordering supplies, etc.

We will create an environment where both the company and the employees can grow by assigning not only routine tasks that do not require judgment but also duties that leverage creative skills.
