New 'Relaxed Fit' Shoulder Bag Surpasses 5M Yen on Launch Day: Introducing the 'Weekend Shoulder' with Designated Storage

NIG LLC (Headquarters: Ishioka, Ibaraki; CEO: Ryoto Sasaki), operator of the 'NIG Online Store' which has surpassed 400 million yen in total project funding, launched a pre-sale for its first-ever shoulder bag designed with designated storage locations, the 'QUICK PACK shoulder,' on the crowdfunding site Makuake starting May 19, 2026.

The project achieved 5 million yen in sales on its very first day, with 396 supporters signing up.

1. What is QUICK PACK shoulder? QUICK PACK shoulder is a bag designed to eliminate the hassle of rummaging through your belongings by creating 'designated spots' for essentials like smartphones, keys, wallets, and drinks. It is engineered not just for capacity, but for the ability to retrieve items without looking.

(1) The 'Smapokke®' Dedicated Smartphone Pocket Equipped with the popular 'Smapokke®' feature from the QUICK PACK series. Users can access their phones just by reaching out, without needing to open a zipper. The magnetic closure ensures both ease of access and security.

(2) Dedicated Drink Pocket Features a specialized pocket for water bottles or plastic bottles. By storing beverages separately, it prevents interference with other items and avoids getting other belongings wet from condensation.

(3) Built-in Wallet Functionality Includes a dedicated pocket that functions as a wallet, with separate compartments for bills, coins, cards, and receipts. This allows for traveling light without needing a separate wallet.

2. Development Background The project was sparked by user feedback: 'Body bags are convenient, but I want to carry them more loosely.' While body bags are designed to fit snugly against the body, an increasing number of users preferred carrying them longer as a shoulder bag due to concerns about the fit or chest line. However, a snug design doesn't perform at 100% when carried loosely. This led to the complete redesign optimized specifically for shoulder-style carry.

3. Re-engineered for a Relaxed Carry This is not just a body bag with a longer strap. The layout, angles, and pocket structures were overhauled to ensure easy access to smartphones, keys, and drinks when the bag hangs loosely around the waist. It has a 3.5L capacity, sufficient for a phone, wallet functions, a water bottle, and an A5 notebook or mini tablet.
