Nikka Home Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture) will open the trailer-based self-service hotel 'NikkaHotel Gifu Hashima' on August 1, 2026, in Fukujyu-cho, Hashima City, Gifu Prefecture.

Located just a 7-minute drive from Hashima Interchange and a 5-minute walk from Gifu-Hashima Shinkansen Station, the facility features guest rooms constructed from repurposed trailers.

Launching a New Accommodation Brand: 'Trailer-Based Self-Service Hotel'

In recent years, demand for convenient and comfortable lodging has increased, driven by rising business travel and accommodation costs.

Leveraging its expertise in manufacturing, Nikka Home has launched a new hotel brand, 'NikkaHotel,' managing everything from in-house trailer production to hotel operations.

By utilizing trailers, the company enables rapid openings and flexible site selection, offering a new lodging concept that meets diverse needs such as business trips, long-term stays, tourism, and home visits.

This is the second location following the first 'NikkaHotel Toyoake' in Aichi Prefecture. The company aims to open four locations by the end of the year.
