Nippon Express and Nippon Express NEC Logistics Selected as Cargo Agents for Tokyo's 2026 Fiscal Year 'Corporate Scope 3 (Logistics) Countermeasure Promotion Project (Air/Sea Transport)'

Nippon Express Co., Ltd. and Nippon Express NEC Logistics, Ltd., both group companies of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC., were selected on June 2 as cargo agents for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's subsidy program, 'Corporate Scope 3 (Logistics) Countermeasure Promotion Project (Air/Sea Transport).' This project aims to reduce CO2 emissions across the entire supply chain by promoting air and sea freight transport with lower environmental impact through the use of SAF or biofuels. Until the end of March 2027, a portion of the additional costs associated with using SAF or biofuels for eligible shipments will be subsidized. Nippon Express has been selected for the third consecutive year, while this marks the first selection for Nippon Express NEC Logistics. The NX Group remains committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and will continue to promote decarbonization efforts alongside its stakeholders.
