Nishitetsu will begin selling "Amaou Premium Sparkling Wine" made with Amaou strawberries from Yanagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture, starting June 15, 2026. This wine uses approximately 50 Amaou strawberries per bottle and is characterized by its ruby color and rich flavor, achieved through hand-picking and brewing.

Nishitetsu Co., Ltd. will commence sales of the 2026 vintage "Amaou Premium Sparkling Wine" on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Our company is engaged in the "6th Industrialization of Agriculture," which involves collaborating with producers along our railway lines to plan and sell new products utilizing agricultural produce from the region. As part of this initiative, we have been selling "Amaou Premium Sparkling Wine" since 2013, marking its 14th year this year.

This product uses "Amaou" strawberries, meticulously cultivated in Yanagawa, a water town in the Chikugo region of southern Fukuoka Prefecture. The hand-picked strawberries are then brewed at "Kyohou Winery," which boasts half a century of history, located at the northern foot of the Mimino Mountains in Kurume.

The most distinctive feature is that approximately 50 Amaou strawberries are used in each bottle. The hand-crafted brewing process achieves the beautiful ruby color, rich aroma, and exquisite taste unique to Amaou. This premium wine is born from the "connections" along our lines, a meeting of the fruits of agriculture and the "Shizuku-broth" brewing method.

This product, born along the Nishitetsu lines, has been well-received by many customers, including repeat buyers, every year. Last year, we offered a limited-time food and beverage service at ONE FUKUOKA HOTEL, which was highly popular among our guests. This year, we plan to expand the number of new retail locations.
