Arc Nohara Develops LED Display System to Show JMA Weather Warnings and Advisories on Roads

Arc Nohara, part of the Nohara Group, has developed a system and device to display warnings and advisories for events like earthquakes and tsunamis, which are difficult for drivers to notice, on roadside LED signs based on disaster information from the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). The system retrieves official data from the JMA's "Disaster Information XML Format" and automatically displays alerts for earthquakes, tsunamis, heavy rain, and floods. This technology aims to improve safety for drivers who have difficulty accessing information via smartphones or radio. The system will be exhibited at "EE Tohoku '26" in June 2026 as the company moves toward social implementation.
