About NoMaps Volunteer Staff
The NoMaps Executive Committee is recruiting volunteer staff to help with operations and preparations for "NoMaps2026," a multifaceted urban festival to be held in Sapporo and Hokkaido.
NoMaps started in 2016 and is now in its 11th year. It has become a major event in Sapporo and Hokkaido, held at approximately 80 venues scattered throughout the center of Sapporo, featuring talk sessions, live performances, exhibitions, and meetups, attracting approximately 70,000 visitors over five days.
NoMaps brings together a diverse range of people, including entrepreneurs, creators, researchers, experts, and celebrities. This initiative aims to create a framework for individuals with curiosity, who think "this looks interesting" or "I want to do something," to become more involved as "people who create NoMaps," regardless of their title or position.

What You Gain as a Volunteer
NoMaps volunteers are not just event volunteers; they are part of a program where you engage as a "creator" on the same level as the operational staff. Through the behind-the-scenes experience of a large-scale event, we believe you can gain the following experiences and connections:
Connections and Networking That Continue Beyond the Event!
NoMaps attracts diverse individuals, including students from all over Hokkaido, such as Asahikawa and Hakodate, as well as from across the country. Through pre-event gatherings and Meet-Ups, you can build connections that transcend regional and organizational boundaries.
Encounters with Entrepreneurs, Creators, and Challengers Beyond Imagination
NoMaps brings together people who are continuously taking on new challenges, such as startup entrepreneurs, creators, and industry leaders. One of the attractions is the opportunity to interact closely with people you wouldn't normally meet in your daily life.
Understand the "Society" by Learning About the Behind-the-Scenes of Planning, an Experience Unobtainable Through Part-Time Jobs
Behind the scenes of the event, many producers, planners, and PR staff support NoMaps. By getting involved in the actual operations, you can learn about the real world, including planning, community building, and professional attitudes.
Practical Experience in Creating the Scene of a Large-Scale Event Where Enthusiasm Spreads
Through handling over 70,000 visitors, venue operations, and public relations activities, you can gain experience supporting one of Hokkaido's largest innovation festivals. On the day of the event, you will interact with visitors and have a valuable opportunity to be involved in the event not as a "participant" but as a "creator."
Encounters and Experiences as a Catalyst for New Challenges
Encounters and experiences at NoMaps often lead to new activities, projects, and personal challenges. You may find companions to pursue dreams with, new discoveries and learning, and connections that allow you to return in the future, all of which can lead to your next step forward.
Applications for volunteer staff are accepted on a rolling basis, with in-person meetups and training scheduled to begin in August.
