Tama Rokuto Science Museum (Nishitokyo, Tokyo; Director: Yuichi Takayanagi) will begin screening its new live-narrated planetarium program, "Deep Dive into the Big Dipper," on June 2, 2026. This program is the latest in a series of fully live-narrated shows that change themes seasonally. The first half provides an easy-to-understand guide to the night sky, while the second half delves into the charm of the Big Dipper. Known as a guide to finding the North Star, the Big Dipper has much more to offer. This program introduces it from multiple perspectives, including how to find it, folklore from Japan and around the world, and how the stars appear to change over time in space. The program is an original production planned and narrated by the museum's own staff, offering a unique, live experience for everyone from beginners to astronomy enthusiasts.
