Tama Rokuto Science Center (Nishitokyo, Tokyo; Director: Yuichi Takayanagi) will host the summer exhibition "Traveling Exhibition: Incredible Invertebrates! World of Spineless Animals" from Saturday, July 18, to Monday, August 31, 2026.
This traveling exhibition, planned by the National Museum of Nature and Science, introduces the diverse and mysterious world of marine invertebrates. Marine environments are home to various spineless animals, including jellyfish, octopuses, and shellfish, which exhibit unique and interesting ecological behaviors. This exhibition will showcase their charm alongside materials from the Tama Rokuto Science Center.
The venue will also feature work sheets, coloring pages, and photo spots where visitors can become part of the educational panels, making it enjoyable for all ages. Related events, including lectures by Hiroshi Namikawa from the National Museum of Nature and Science and observation sessions for micro-shells, sea urchins, and starfish, are also scheduled (registration required).
