The movie label "NOTHING NEW" has produced its first live-action feature film, Yūsuke Iwasaki's directorial debut feature, "CHID." The film was officially selected for the Forum section of the 76th Berlin International Film Festival and was the only Japanese film to win the FIPRESCI Award. It has since been selected for numerous film festivals worldwide, including in Taiwan and South Korea, and is set to be officially screened in the Cheval Noir Competition section at Fantasia International Film Festival, one of North America's largest fantastic film festivals, in July.

Set in a convenience store, "AnyMart Kuratomi-cho 7-chome," in a corner of Tokyo, "CHID" is an 88-minute "convenience store horror" that depicts the world heading towards its end, triggered by a slight distortion in a small society. Starring Shota Someya, with Erika Karata, Masahiko Nishimura, and Kuruma (Reiwa Roman) in supporting roles, the film will be released sequentially in theaters nationwide, including THEATRE SHINJUKU and HUMAN TRUST CINEMA SHIBUYA, starting July 17, 2026 (Fri).

With the release just around the corner, a "Something's Wrong" convenience store, "AnyMart," where you can purchase original merchandise from the film, will be temporarily open.

Original Goods on Sale!

The merchandise available for sale this time are original goods from the convenience store "AnyMart" featured in the film. The lineup includes items that allow you to feel the unique atmosphere of "CHID," such as T-shirts and socks featuring the "AnyMart" logo, handkerchiefs that are easy to use daily, and sticker sets that capture the film's world.

Furthermore, the program, which allows for a deeper appreciation of the film's charm and production background, will be available not only at the pop-up store but also at some of the theaters nationwide showing the film starting from the release date, July 17 (Fri).

These are must-have items for fans, allowing them to enjoy the world of "CHID" even outside the cinema.
