Certified NPO Free the Children Japan (Location: 3F, 6-6-5 Minami-Karasuyama, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Sanae Nakajima) will host a study tour in September 2026 for university students, visiting the organization's Philippine support regions, international aid agencies, and Japanese companies operating in the Philippines.
[For University Students] Philippines Study Tour Recruitment! Encounter the structure of global poverty and consider the significance of working abroad.
Through our collaboration with local Philippine partner organizations of over 25 years, this tour visits facilities that offer a deep look into child support in the Philippines, which other tours cannot provide. This includes homestays in indigenous villages of fair trade producers, visits to slum areas under harsh living conditions, and child protection facilities for survivors of the sex industry and abuse. Through interactions with local people and children, participants will learn about global structures and the nature of poverty in developing nations, contemplating 'what can I do?' Furthermore, the one-week tour includes visits to international organizations and Japanese companies based in the Philippines, allowing students to explore the meaning of working abroad from various perspectives.
An online free information session will be held on Friday, June 5th, at 20:00. Early bird discount of 5,000 JPY is available for applications submitted by June 12th.
