Peer Support Net Shibuya (NPO), Hope Bear Co., Ltd., and ELEMAX Inc. will co-host the charity art event 'BRITTO Future Support Project – Supporting Children's Future' on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Shibuya City Yoyogi Junior High School (Shibuya, Tokyo), including its art classrooms, which are scheduled for reconstruction due to aging infrastructure. The event will feature globally celebrated pop artist Romero Britto.

Starting at 11:00, children will participate in hands-on painting activities, wearing yellow glasses and white coats identical to Britto’s signature style, freely painting on their clothing. They will also engage in spray painting on classroom walls, desks, and chairs.

At 14:00, Romero Britto himself will arrive. He will collaborate with children on joint art projects, including 'Shoe Painting' on approximately 50 pairs of shoes provided by SKECHERS. Additionally, a charity auction of Britto’s artworks and merchandise, along with the sale of limited-edition charity T-shirts, will be held. Proceeds will support programs creating safe spaces for children and youth, both inside and outside school.

Background and Purpose

Children’s potential does not always manifest in visible ways. Therefore, this event aims to bring an extraordinary 'time for expression' into the everyday school environment—something not typically experienced in regular classes. Choosing colors, painting with their own hands, and gazing at completed works—these small experiences are designed to inspire children to view their futures more positively.

Britto’s vibrant colors and bold lines have made his art beloved worldwide. His works convey the strength to believe in one’s own expression and move forward into the future. Guided by the belief that 'artists have a role in creating positive change,' Britto has contributed his time and artwork to over 250 charitable initiatives.

This event was made possible through the alignment of Britto’s philosophy, the organizers’ desire to support children’s futures, and the deep understanding and cooperation of Principal Shoichi Komazaki of Yoyogi Junior High School, whose aging campus is scheduled for rebuilding.

Event Highlights: Three Core Art Experiences

Children will not only observe Britto’s world but also wear it, paint it, and leave it within the school’s space.

(1) Yellow Glasses & White Coat Art (Main Activity)

Children will wear the same yellow glasses and white coats as Britto and freely paint on their clothing. By embodying the artist, they will experience being creators themselves—not just viewers—fostering a sense of empowerment through self-expression.

(2) SKECHERS Shoe Painting

Children will paint on approximately 50 pairs of shoes provided by SKECHERS, alongside Romero Britto. Each pair will transform into a unique, personalized artwork. Completed shoes will be gifted to participating children.

(3) Classroom Wall Painting

The school itself becomes a canvas. Britto and students will co-create large-scale murals on classroom walls. As Yoyogi Junior High is scheduled for full reconstruction, this project allows students to leave their personal colors as a final memory on the long-standing campus—a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity made possible by the timing of the rebuild.

(4) Charity Initiatives and Merchandise Sales

- Charity auction of BRITTO artworks and accessories

- Sale of limited-edition 'BRITTO × Hachikou' charity T-shirts
